It was obvious that Hitler's ideological beliefs did not look favorably upon those of African descent, but I have seen very little explanation as to what happened to them in Germany during WWII.
This piece by the german center for political education says that it is estimated that about 2000 black people died in german concentration camps additionally to an unknown number of black POWs (allied colonial and african american soldiers) who died in POW camps.
German children of colonial french soldiers of the Rhineland occupation were (illegaly) sterilized by the Gestapo
Some black people were employed as oddities or "exhibits" in "Völkerschauen" or for playing natives in propaganda movies about the (lost) german colonies
edited for clarity
Were there many African people in Germany in the 1930s?
