My Great Uncle flew bombers during WW2 and supposedly brought this home with him. There are other similar questions online, but no satisfactory answers. I think he flew the B-17 either out of, or over Italy.
'Winged phalluses' in Greco-Roman material culture are fairly common. I suspect that either it's a fake or bona fide artefact, which really ought to go to a museum.
