Based off of history, is there a way of knowing how 'conquerable' a country is?

How exactly do you quantify this? How do you define these terms? "X has been invaded Y times and it was successful Z times"? History and historical events aren't something you can reduce to models and data, everything is contingent.

It's important to try and understand every event in its own context, and while similarities can exist, the human brain is remarkably good at seeing patterns everywhere even they don't exist.
