Pictures of German Invasion of France, 1940

by AnthonyNice

Hi, I'm looking for pictures of the Battle of France. I'm working on a scale model of this, and I need some good references, especially half tracks/armor. I've done some googling, but I haven't really found anything good, so I turned to you guys. This one, this picture, this one and [this] (http://www.historyguy.com/worldwartwo/french_tank_destroyed_in_belgium_1940.jpg) are the best ones I've found so far, and I'd really aprecciate it if you guys could help me out. Thanks!

Try the Bundesarchiv, the Federal Archives, they uploaded about 80000 pictures about German History. You can search here

Just put the name of the model you want in, for example the Panzer III

Here are three books that will interest you. "French Tanks of World War II Vol. 1 : Infantry and battle tanks" and "French Tanks of World War II Vol. II : Cavalry Tanks and AFVs". Both are written by Steven Zaloga and are soft cover photo albims being sold on Amazon at a relatively low price.
"Armored Warfare and the Fall of France" by Anthony Tucker Jones is about 50 % more expensive, but it is also 50 % bigger than the Steven Zaloga books. It is part of the Images of War series, published by the British company Pen and Sword books. Amazon does not carry it, but the History Book Club does.

There are also Images of War books that focus on German Sd.Kfz-251 half tracks, the Pzkw III tank, the Pzkw IV tank, and British tanks in World War II.
