Was there a Western European, Byzantian, or Arab/Muslim military writer similar to Sun Zu in the Medieval era?

I know there were several Greek and Roman military theorists, but there must have been medieval scholars who wrote military manuals for the then contemporary battlefield for the use of archers, cavalry, infantry and siege weapons. Can someone tell me who they might have been?

There are at least a couple of Byzantine treatises called Tactica, including the famous one by Emperor Leo VI. It's pretty extensive...he talks about training as well as tactics for infantry, cavalry, artillery, and archers, and even navies.

Also, while not an instructional work, Anna Comnena's Alexiad about her father's reign is of significant historical value for tactics and actions of the Byzantine military of the twelfth century.

Hi OP, just want to point out that Arab and Muslim are not interchangeable terms. The vast majority of Muslims are not Arab, and not all Arabs are Muslim.
