I'm not quite I understand what you mean.
The "counterinsurgency" that was carried out was nothing more than conventional mopping up operations, sometimes not being more than a platoon of soldiers facing off against a lone sniper. The Nazi "insurgency" that existed after the war was nothing more than a bunch of uncoordinated fanatics and was never a practical threat beyond theory. There were plans made up on how to deal with a possible insurgency, but since an actual insurgency failed to materialize, they were not actually put to use.
Since I am not close to as well-read on the Eastern Front as I am on the various other fronts, perhaps one of our experts on here can enlighten us how it looked on the Soviet side?
