One of the excellent biblical scholars on this sub maybe able to answer this question for you, but it's worth noting that you're asking about a book that is in fact a collection of dozens of smaller books written by a multiplicity of authors across a span of centuries or longer in various different geographic locations and cultures for different audiences with different intended messages. The level of interconnection between books varies wildly. All this to say, the significance of any one number will vary depending on which specific book you're talking about - it doesn't necessarily have any uniform significance across the entire Bible without applying ideas that are better described as theology than history.
