Some warm tropical civilizations I'm thinking of are Khmer, Aztec, Amazonian, Polynesian etc. Did any of them have any concept of what snow was since they most likely never saw any?
I can't pull up the passage right now, but the Florentine Codex does have a portion about weather and mentions snow. Yhr snow, though, is more like hail and isn't considered a natural phenomenon but more of a spell casted and sent by an angry with.
