I imagine the US government only intended to intern those of Japanese descent, but in lieu of proper documentation were there mistakes made in sending, for instance, Chinese-Americans or Korean Americans to internment camps based on appearances alone?
I'm fairly certain it was only Japanese. I remember seeing newspaper articles about how you can spot the differences between Japanese, Chinese and Korean phenotypes. That way you could properly apply your racism.
Only the Japanese were interned. Though other Asian Americans would sometimes wear buttons or patches to show that they were not Japanese.
