Book recommendation for the decline of the steel industry in Pitt/Youngstown/Wheeling in second half of 20th century

I want to know if there is one book or author who is considered the definitive authority on this subject. However, I don't want something so esoteric that it's difficult to read.

Maybe a similar style to David McCullough...

"And the Wolf Finally Came: The Decline of the American Steel Industry" by James Hoerr takes an in depth look at Pittsburgh and the near by Monongahela river valley, while the steel industry was in its death throes. It does not cover Youngstown to much.
