What if any criticisms there for Chris Bellamy's Absolute War and the German generals' postwar memoirs Fighting in Hell?

by werewhal

Are they a good look into the eastern front or are there major flaws in each?

Absolute War, when I read it, is more of a compilation of other authors' work without much in the way of original theories, research, or analysis. There are definitely better broad survey's of the Eastern Front out there.
