I'm sorry if this sounds insensitive or offends anybody. I'm genuinely curious to see if they had any findings that they may have used to try to justify their experiments, or if they just enjoyed experimenting on humans.
Most of it was rubbish from a scientific standpoint. The nazis that conducted the research were seldomly formally trained in the scientific method and documented their experiments poorly. They did not use control groups, did not do repeat testing and rarely if ever checked long-term results (that could show that one group were indeed special due to the experiment etc).
As /u/Klarok says, in the field of hypothermia, specifically humans in cold water, their research did add a bit to our understanding on how body heat evaporates from a human, specifically that it is important to keep the neck dry and warm in order to retain body heat.
