How separate were the Wehrmacht and Nazis?

I mean like could the Wehrmacht be considered Nazis?

Moad-Din

As a political party the NSDAP drew members from many disparate groups across the Reich. From wealthy industrialists who fared the depression of the 1930s rather well to the new destitute that the hyperinflation of the late Weimar period created. While certainly there would have been party members included in both the officers and rank and file of the armed forces and that these organizations were used to further goals the party had for Germany, that the Wehrmacht as a whole could not be considered a Nazi organization as such.
