What makes you think "seed is not" is a sign of rudimentary thinking? Compact, succinct, perhaps, but you will need to elaborate on why it's rudimentary before this question even establishes its presupposition..
Keep in mind as well that this is a translation into English of the original. Egyptian (Late Egyptian, I believe?) had significantly different syntax/grammar than Modern English, so any translation is never going to completely accurately convey the sense of the original.
At any rate, that construction doesn't sound simple to me, just poetic.
