I'm currently reading Robert Remini's Andrew Jackson and I'm hoping to gain some insight to Jackson that will aid me as I read. Thanks for any answers! -Also, if there are other relevant threads already answering this question, I'll gladly look at those!
I thought I have an okay overview of Jackson's pros and cons in this post. Also are you reading the three part biography or the single volume? I'd also caution you that Remini, while being the foremost expert on Jackson, also often tends to paint Jackson in a far more forgiving light than many contemporary historians.
