Edit: Hurls are a stick used to play the game of hurling: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurling I know hurling was mentioned in some Irish legends but was the hurl/hurley stick ever used in combat?
Interesting question. I know of instances in mythology (Cú Chulainn killing the Hound with his hurley and sliotar) but have never come across any historical instances. I'll look through my library and see what I can find.
Is there some way you could clarify what you're talking about? For those who aren't familiar with "hurls."
