Were slaves allowed to participate in ancient Olympic Games?

Short answer: no. The ancient Greek games were open mostly to only male Greek citizens. Meaning no slaves, no females(unless you were a horse owner), foreigner(until the invasion of Romein 146 BCE, then Romans could join), etc. Anyone that wasn't a citizen did not get to participate.
