The article doesn't look like it has a lot of citations. And the claim of the ancestors of the Chechens and Ingush resisting the Mongols when other, seemingly stronger Caucasian states like Georgia and Armenia were unable to do the same, seems really remarkable. I can't find much other information on these invasions elsewhere on the web, and most of it seems to be copied from the above article.
Did these invasions really happen? And if they did, can anybody provide more information on them? Thank you!
I agree, it does look a bit suspect. In addition to what you mentioned with the referenced, I see the user who wrote most of the article has edited and written a lot of articles about Chechens and their history. Nothing wrong with contributing to your field of study, but this article, with the sparse references, reads more like a fluff piece about Chechens than anything else.
