With the recent MH17 incident and all the TIL's about Korean Air 007 (1983), Iranian Air 655 (1988), etc., what has the public's reaction to these incidents been?

In the US, Howard Stern popularized the claim that the Iranians had deliberately put dead bodies on Iran Air 655 and aimed it at the Vincennes, to score propaganda points. The Right Wing press was full of such speculation.
