Have Muslims historically believed "Yahweh" to be the personal name of God like Jews and Christians do?

I tried looking this up online but I couldn't find any good sources. I assume that Muslims have identified God (or "Allah" in Arabic) with the God of the Jews and Christians since the beginning of Islam. But have they also considered "Yahweh" or "YHWH" to be his personal name? Has there been any debate about this within the Muslim world?

Also in jewish tradition God was first named El (by Arbraham and progeny), but would demand to be called YHWH (I prefer this form as the real pronunciation isn't known) from Moses onwards.

Historically it is more likely however that the stories in which God was named El, date back before monolatrous and/or monotheistic Yahwenism and are part from the earlier and encompassing Canaanite religious traditions and culture. (Cfr. the very recent discovery of a much earlier Ugaritic version of the story of Adam and Eve). El was the deity that headed the Canaanite pantheon.
