I am currently doing research for my budgeted screen play script I am currently writing, and am curious as to what the social, economic, drug, and technological boundaries I am to write in the confines of when writing a film which the story line of takes place in the 70s. What were the drugs of the time? What were the trends? What were colleges like? Any important facts I should be aware of? Suggestions?
If you could be more specific with questions about the 1970s -- starting with where your movie takes place -- I imagine posters could be more helpful. But if you're just looking for general information, I'd suggest asking for suggestions of books to read. It's very hard to imagine that anyone could answer all of these question in a single post.
