what are some really, Really, REALLY basic political issues of the 20th century?

by ntheawesome

Basically, im teaching a class about a theatre practitioner (bertolt brecht). and in the lesson, i also have to include a short game that demonstrates what his style was (epic theatre). Now i plan to divide the class up in groups of 3/4 and give them a topic present in brecht's time. thing is, i can only think of 3, and i need at least 5. So if anyone has any suggestions, about ANYTHING (brecht, epic theatre, issues) then please, dont hesitate to comment. thanks.

p.s. the issues i have are war, capitalism and dictatorship.

Well Vietnam and the Cold War are pretty big and was quite huge politically. I see the issues you already have are war, and all wars are quite political in a sense really. But I'd say for the 20th century the Cold War would definitely be the big one. Hope I helped.

Some of these might be more or less of an issue depending on what country you're in, but: colonialism, racism and civil rights, women's suffrage.

Propaganda seems like an appropriate topic.
