This is a little vague, is there a particular historical figure you are interested in reading a biography on? In academia, historians generally don't pump out biographies on various random historical figures. That seems to be more in the realm of popular historians (sometimes know as tertiary sources or history, as they are primarily comprised of secondary literature that usually does not attempt to break new ground).
But there are of course, academic historians who have written several biographies. Robert V. Remini wrote several biographies on figures from the Jacksonian era, such as Andrew Jackson, Henry Clay, John Quincy Adams, Martin van Buren, Joseph Smith and Daniel Webster. Another is John Nivens, responsible for biographies on John C. Calhoun, Salmon P. Chase and Martin van Buren.
There are others of course, but without more information, I can't provide a particularly useful answer to what you are looking for.
