Question: Is Palestine supposed to be Jordan? On Google Maps, there is no Palestine "state". It just shows Jordan with a dashed border. Is modern day Palestine really supposed to be the kingdom of Jordan?

You may get a lot of really terse and crazy replies with this question, because it is complicated. Very, very complicated.

Palestine is recognized by some countries, and not by others, and there is a lot of deep and angry politics over this.

Historically, the area that has been called Palestine does include parts of present day Jordan.

Currently, there is more an area inside the current country of Israel which can be called Palestine, and those people want to be an officially recognized country, for the most part.
