I'd be even more interested in blogs written by flaired users.
That Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov guy, I've heard his is really good.
/u/NMW's blog 'Wellington House' is highly recommended!
This is /u/restricteddata's blog: http://blog.nuclearsecrecy.com/
Guy Halsall, one of the pre-eminent historians of early medieval europe, has a blog called Historian on Edge where he shows off his academic side with a touch more grumpy of a twist.
However, the blog is phenomenal for history on the dark ages. I'm talking scholarly articles worth of stuff that he just casually posts. In addition to the quirkier ones like "How Early Medieval Are You?"
Myself and a couple of other historians write at Clio's Current.
http://activehistory.ca/ is a good one for Canadian history.
I am a regular contributor to the University of Oxford's blog about the First World War, WW1C: Continuations and Beginnings. It features pieces on all sorts of subjects related to the war, its history, and its legacy; its contributors run the gamut between dynamic young scholars and long-established names in the field. And then me, somehow.
British Library medieval manuscripts blog is great http://britishlibrary.typepad.co.uk/digitisedmanuscripts/index.html
I (rather infrequently) run this Spanish Civil War blog
Not so much a direct history blog as there is very little commentary. But englishrussia.com is a vast repository of categorized photos about all manner of life in Russia/USSR. It has tons of war images and a huge amount of pics of day to day life in the USSR. It really is amazing. For example http://englishrussia.com/category/history/
Also, not a blog but an interactive history site about the Great Patriotic War is http://english.pobediteli.ru/
I've always been a fan of MedievalPOC, which is primarily an art history blog dedicated to revealing depictions and the presence of non-"white" people in Europe before modern times.
