Edit: Averyville. Spell check broke it up and I didn't notice.
Its now abandoned (as a town, its now part of Lake Placid) and I've been trying to locate its cemetery. All I have is a rough map drawn by someone who lives near where the town was.
You might start by reading this, then do a search on Averyville on the same sure and see what else you can find. http://news.nnyln.org/lccn/sn86033359/2000-04-28/ed-1/seq-11/#date1=1803&city=&date2=2013&words=Averyville&searchType=basic&sequence=0&index=3&county=&rows=20&proxtext=Averyville&y=-146&x=-736&dateFilterType=yearRange&page=1
I have a great Lake Placid/North Elba history book, and if my memory serves me correctly, I remember it referring to Averyville not really as it's own town. It seemed to be described more as a small settlement just out of town. The book is "Plains of Abraham" by Mary MacKenzie.
I am local to the area and I don't think there is a cemetery out there. I'll ask around though.
