(I am new to this sub-reddit and I apologise if this has been asked before) I was thinking to myself idly whilst listening to the Rome podcast. When Carthaginian ships were boarded by the Romans would they simply kill the combatants and rush back to their own ship? Or would they go down into the ship to kill the oarsmen to prevent them returning to safety? Thanks.
