With the funds procured by the people's community during the last two years, 41 million Reichsmark were spent for care in the Vienna Gau. 12 million RM went to the relief organization "Mother and Child". A hundred Kindergärten and 54 homes for mothers, infants and youth were built in the Vienna Gau. Thousands of children and hundreds of mothers find recuperation there. The maintenance and safeguarding of the life force of our German children and mothers demands the foundation of new Kindergärten and Mother's Homes. Hundreds of thousands of Volksdeutsche return to the motherland from abroad and we want to help them in building a new life.

My German is too rusty for a complete translation. But the front is a letter from a Kreisleiter (local NSDAP leader) in Vienna. It's about a donation drive for the Kriegswinterhelfswerken (War winter help works, a lovely compound word that), which helped finance charitable works. He is encouraging the people of his district in Vienna to "double, multiply your previous contribution" to make a true sacrifice.
