Does every FC have legitimate French ancestry? Did the early settlers actually come from France? Also, if this is true, is there a way to find out where in France they came from based on which Canadian province they immigrated to?

Re the genealogy of "every French Canadian", one would need to do genealogy research to answer that conclusively, but it doesn't seem impossible that there are people who are Canadian, speak French as a first language, and have immigrant ancestors who immigrated from countries other than France.
