Endurance by Alfred Lansing. Not only is it a great expedition story but it's also a true story. Great read. I recommend it to everyone. The things they go through are so ridiculous it's hard to believe.
My suggestions are both a bit earlier, but are good reads. In the Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick is the story of the whaleship Essex and a tragedy at sea. It also has great depictions of Nantucket and the whaling industry during the 1820s. I would also recommend Desperate Passage by Ethan Rarick, about the fate of the Donner Party in the 1840s.
