Many racial groups have migrated or invaded India (I know India was several kingdoms) but I can't remember any huge genocidal events in its history, where Indians slaughtered a specific ethnicity. When was "India" the aggressor in the last four-thousand years? Its role in history appears rather passive (as far as military conquest). Unlike other Asian countries, it didn't develop large-scale slavery (correct me if I'm wrong). What are some dark events or genocides in Indian history, where indians were the aggressors?

"India" itself was never a unified place (except for a few instances but I'm not well versed there), but after independence from the British the Indian government was very vested in removing the last bits of colonialism from the country. By that point Goa was still a Portuguese possession and the Portuguese were not really interested in giving it up. The 1961 annexation of Goa (through military means) brought Goa into the Indian Union, and had India as the aggressor in the international community. I'll link sources once I get home (on mobile)
