I can already hear people discussing (Complaining) about historical accuracy here, so I'm interested to bring some experts in on this. I am 100% certain that the depiction in the game terms will be unrealistic as basically every part of most games are, but did we have units of women ever fielded alongside men?

The only historical example I know of are women in Japan either fighting along their husbands or fighting in his stead to defend homes and castles under attack, armed with Naginata, Spears, or even sometimes swords.

Otherwise, I've heard Jeanne d'Arc was basically never in any real combat, so that "historic" example is widely misunderstood.

Do we have other examples of women on war?
