Historians of r/AskHistorians, I am about to begin my senior year of high school. I have a profound adoration for military and musical history and I would like to ask a couple of questions.

Hello! I have seen similar posts like this one in the past, but please forgive me if it does not fit the bill.

Like many others, I have really struggled over considering my future. Music and History are the only two subjects in which I am well versed (that is at least, in my opinion...), and I do not see being a musician in my future. So that leaves history. My love of history stretches from my family's genealogy to asian, musical and military history. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to go with it. So I'm hoping the following two questions may help direct me down my next path.

What are some good colleges for history in the mid-atlantic region of the United States? In what positions can I apply my knowledge for a living?

Thanks for all of your help!

You might want to try /r/askacademia, as that's sort of the sub for that kinda question.
