Was it destroyed, sent to the allies or simply allowed to be stocked in warehouses somewhere? I'd imagine they had a lot of unused equipment left seeing the drastic reductions to the army.

Considering the difficulties in supplying the various German weapons with spare parts and munitions, abundance of weapons from their own manufacturing and the moral objection to using weapons used by the German army the weapons would be of little value. I would assume this would mean that weapons would be smelted down or destroyed in some other way.
Under the Treaty of Versailles all arms in excess of those required for the down-sized army had to be surrendered to the Allies for destruction. (Article 169- see text here )
Other clauses enforced the surrender of all aircraft and submarines. and forbade Germany from engaging in the arms trade.
