What was the situation in western europe during 1400bc?

I've been doing research (just out of interest) into the bronze age, I have been able to find a lot of information about Hitties, Egyptians, Greeks, Kassites (east of Greece basically) I couldn't find much about western europe though. What was happening in western europe in terms of kingdoms being formed? Or were empires and kingdoms not being formed like they were to the east? Thanks

Well it's very hard to know, because writing hadn't reached Bronze Age Western Europe yet, so anything we would know about Western Europe would come from archaeological evidence, or at best genetic and linguistic evidence. It's highly doubtful that we would know anything about the prehistoric kingdoms that inhabited those areas at the time. You could probably start here though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Age_Europe
