Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts had rediscovered the location of Maya city Laguinita, previously explored by Eric Von Euw in 1970s, and unearthed previously unknown Maya city called Tamchen.

The RB-29 reconnaissance aircraft that detected the first Soviet atomic test in 1949 was rediscovered in a gravel quarry on Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks. Apparently, it had been converted to an underwater escape trainer, and a diver only just confirmed that it's the same aircraft.
