How was the years measured in the old Hebrew calendar such as in the Old Testament?

Did they measure based as one lunar month a year or one season a year etc...?

The Hebrew calendar has always been lunisolar, meaning it's used lunar months with an added intercalary month to keep it in harmony with the solar year of 365.25 days.
