Are there any useful ways of finding MA programs that are partially or fully funded? Google-fu helped me find this list: http://forum.thegradcafe.com/topic/41552-how-to-get-your-history-ma-funded/?p=1057966549
I think I've got a pretty competitive application. I rocked the GREs recently so I think that I've at least got a chance if there is any funding available out there.
Is a funded MA program a pipe dream? I don't think I have the foreign language skills for a PhD program; I was hoping to work on that while doing the MA to give myself that option.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
While I certainly don't claim to have exhaustive knowledge of all MA programs, I know of none that provide funding.
That said, I hope you've done lots of research into the value of a history MA -- it's very close to zero except as a stepping-stone to a PhD, whose value is only slightly better.
