I am asking specifically about Canadian tribes as our Canadian history curriculum taught little about aboriginal history about any history about North Americans tribes before Europeans discovered the Americas is of course welcome.
Absolutely. Tribal historians, linguists, and archaeologists fill in the gaps. Handbook of the North American Indians is a great source of relatively reliable information; I'd recommend Vol. 5: Arctic, Vol 6: Subarctic, and Vol. 7: Northwest Coast. Due to the melting of permafrost and glaciers, more Inuit archaeological sites are being revealed. Is there a particular region in Canada in which you are interested?
