I'm learning about in my history course in Uni and he intrigues me. I have a basic knowledge of him but less knowledge of politics of the era. I know he was worth around 360 billion in todays dollar worth. Did he pretty much have free rein and did whatever he wanted? Feel free to go interpret the question any way.
