Hello, I am a high school history teacher and wanted to ask about a DVD advertisement in a magazine. As I was cleaning around my grandfather's house I found a magazine called The Great Courses. Supposedly it has a bunch of high profile professors talking and lecturing about various topics.
The history one is The World Was Never The Same: Events That Changed History by professor J. Rufus Fears. Has anyone here or a colleague of yours seen these videos? If so are there pieces of videos that would be suitable for a high school class?

I took every class Dr. Fears taught at the University of Oklahoma. I learned more from those lectures than I did from any of my other professors combined. I highly recommend them.
I have a bunch of them on audio. I think they're great.
What field of history do you teach? I know there are some excellent taped lectures around on various subjects but I know only a relative handful of fields.
These are legit. They are college level lectures that would be very beneficial to high school students.
