Sorry if this isn't the right place for the question, but it seems historical and I figured you guys must know it, as you know everything.

I'm a bit of a fan of the Soviet Union, and bought a replica Hero of the Soviet Union medal. I expected it would have a pin to attach to clothing, but its got a screw. Looking online showed that the originals also were like this, but I don't understand how that works.

I'm really curious as to how it was worn, not just for my own sake, but to understand how the Soviets wore it as well. Thanks.
