I have a very, very rough idea of how a combination of Lutheran ideals (Cuius regio, eius religio) and Prussian values ("Lerne leiden ohne zu klagen'" bravery without self pity) contributed to German submission to state if you will, but can someone expound on that?
Why did the Germans in particular seem to put such emphasis on these ideals when other Europeans nations (France for example) were so revolutionary and "people minded?"
So the dozen different revolutions right at the end of WWI don't count?
