I will be reenacting as a GI from 2nd I.D. 9th Company. In order to get a better experience of reenacting, as well as teach the visitors attending the reenacting event as to why my uniform has "this" or "that" I would love to know some additions/changes infantrymen did to their uniforms.

EDIT: There is this webpage http://www.hardscrabblefarm.com/ww2/photo_research.htm in which I have learned a lot to hold me over for reenacting's sake. Though, I want more kind of stuff like this. Obviously, I can't go get deployed and figure out what works for me, so I'll be content with copying others!
