There's many stories I've heard about the Nazis experimenting with magic, time travel as well as other science and occult. Also attempting to find ancient technologies. Is this mostly unsubstantiated, or is this for real?

I'd also like to know some good books about this stuff. Even if the claims aren't substantiated, I thinks it's a cool thought and would like to know more about the rumours and facts.

This is all unsubstantiated and essentially created by post-war pop culture. There isn't really much point to reiterate rumors since there are honestly so many of them. Everything ranging from Adolf Hitler selling his soul to the devil to Nazi UFO's to searching for the the Ark of the Covenant in Egypt 1936.

The very little truth there actually is to this is based on Himmler's own interest in historical (and archaeological) fringe theories. Himmler actually did try to find one particular "ancient technology" which perhaps is better defined as mythological technology. I've written a more elaborate post here regarding Himmler and the search for Atlantis.
