As history has shown, the UK was not fond of the League of Nations and is certainly not too happy in the European Union. This being said, has there ever been tensions between the UK and UN due to superseding legislation or anything like that?

Do you have any sources for that ? I've never read anything that implied that, in fact quite the opposite, given that they were one of the founders.
