I am going for holidays and searching for good books.

So far i have read a few books about uboots, land warware, but being passionate about flying my favorite books are memories of pilots. The best book I have read so far is Half a Wing, Three Engines and a Prayer , which was fantastic book, i could not put it away. With very detailed stories from many missions, you cold feel many of the emotions that crews flying B17 felt.

What similar books would you recommend that would prevent me from going to sleep until i finish the book?

I am especially interested in carrier war in pacific , to feel how difficult it was to land damaged plane at night, with rough sea. But it is very hard to find books that have a lot of action inside. I have tried My Carrier War but it was pretty boring, with almost no action in the air.

I would gladly take any recommendation for book with action packed memories from WW2 or Vietnam - Air, land or sea warfare.
