This includes all "2,000 years of continuous civilization". At best, it seems like a technicality to me especially when one considers Tibet and other non-Han regions of China. But how does Chinese media draw this conclusion? And how true is it?
It is largely a meaningless statement. One problem is the definition of "country" and its modern context. If we are talking about non-imperial regions then there were quite a few invasions. The Ming conquest of the southwest (now yunnan), and the Qing conquest of Xinjiang (and occupation of Tibet) are just two examples.
Is this "another country" in the sense that the list going around of "countries Britain has invaded" uses it? I.e China has never invaded any other country that currently exists. Tibet etc don't count as countries, because they don't currently exist, so China can't have invaded them.
The Britain list does a lot of "well, there was an English landing near Lisbon during he time that Portugal was part of the Spanish crown, so we'll count that as "Britain invaded Portugal", or "When England was at war with France, she occupied some French colonies in the Caribbean that are now all independent. That gives us another seven "countries" to add to the list of countries Britain has invaded"
It's laughably inaccurate. It's true that China has never invaded a country that currently exists as u/Brickie78 said. They very VERY much invaded Tibet in 1950 which was very much independent (although internationally recognized being rather questionable). And if you go down throughout history, well, you can find a LOT of countries they invaded. Many in what is today the People's Republic. Many outside it.
This is very untrue. You can start with the territory during the Qin dynasty to the Qing dynasty and see the drastic change and increase in land. China lost more lands after the fall of Qing (outer mongolia for example). There is also another reason why there are over 50 different ethnic groups and over a hundred different dialects. Tibet and Xinjiang are just the two prime examples of China conquering their lands (both Tibet and Xinjiang hate China to their guts.)
Genghis Khan conquered all the way from Korea to Turkey; his accomplishment is greater even than that of Alexander the Great's. Today, about 16 million people are the descendants of genghis Khan.
