I wish to learn about what Wales was doing during the times of Cnut and the Norman invasions. I'm interested in any book from the lives of common citizens to the kings of Wales and any events happening. Thank you in advance.
This is my current research period and region, so I'd be happy to provide a comprehensive breakdown of the literature. How familiar are you with the topic and do you have a preferred reading level (introductory, overview, academic, etc.)?
There are a great number of printed and translated primary sources for the study of Wales up to the Edwardian Conquest (1283x4). Some of those pertaining to the lay elite are listed in this response.
