Do we have any record at all of "Honest" Abe Lincoln ever telling a lie?

As a politician and a fairly well documented one at that, has there ever been any evidence of Lincoln telling a lie in any form?

We can track countless lies that recent presidents have told to the public, it seems almost inevitable that politicians/presidents have to lie, so I'm wondering exactly how honest "Honest" Abe was.

Here's a rather unflattering story about a story Lincoln told about Jeff Davis's escape.

There also exists a more sinister account of Lincoln telling this story in response to a question about the possibility of Jeff Davis being shot while being arrested.

It's not exactly a lie, but it's not "honest" either coming from the Commander In Chief, since presumably subordinates would have to accept responsibility for Davis's death or escape.
